My Favorite Characters in Harry Potter Novel
Harry Potter novels are my favorite novels. I have read Harry Potter novels since I was secondary school student. I always enjoy reading these novels. While I was reading these novels, I could not disturb by anything or anyone, not even by my mother. J. K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter novels, divided these novels to seven parts. The first is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the second Harry Potter and the Chamber of secret, the third is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the forth is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fifth is Harry Potter and the Order Phoenix, the sixth is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the last is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Harry Potter novels are the story about Harry, a young boy that has responsibility to save witch world that would be destroyed by Lord Voldemort. He tried to defeat Lord Voldemort with his bestfriends’ help, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. They have a best friendship that I ever seen. I am falling in love with three main characters in these Harry Potter novels, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley.
Harry James Potter, the boy who could still alive from Lord Voldemort attacking when he was one year old. Petunia Dursley, his aunt took care of him when his mother and father had killed by Voldemort. He is a son from half-blood family. He was born on July 31st 1980. He has inherited his mother’s green eyes, Lily Potter and he used round eyeglasses. He has untidy and black hair from his father, James Potter. He was so thin and pale. He carried a lightning bolt-shaped scar on the right side of his forehead. He always wears worn out jeans and shirt. He was a brave boy. That was why sorting hat decided to put him in Gryffindor’s dormitory. He has big curiosity which always makes him in trouble. His two worst characters were anger and occasional arrogance. He was not a cruel boy. He was competitive, and a fighter. He did have native integrity, which made him a hero. He was a normal boy but with those qualities most of people really admire. He liked playing Quidditch. He was a seeker and became a captain of Gryffindor’s team when his sixth grade in Hogwarts. He has a pet owl named Hedwig.
The second character is Hermione Jean Granger. She was a muggle-born, a person who is not from witch family. Her parents, Mr. Granger and Mrs. Granger are muggle-dentists. Hermione was born on September 19th 1979. She has brown curly hair and brown eyes. She was brave and loyal for her friends. She was an overachiever who excels academically, and she was a very logical, upright and good girl. She was the one of the cleverest student in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry and Ron often used her quick wit and encyclopedic knowledge to help them. She liked reading books and her knowledge always annoyed her peers. She has a yellow cat, Crookshanks.
Another character is Ronald Billy Weasley. He was a member of the Weasley family, a pure blood family, who reside in "The Burrow" outside Ottery St. Catchpole. The sixth child of Weasley was born on March 1st 1980. Ron had blue eyes, red hair and a long nose. He was tall, thin, and gangling. His face was filled of freckles. He had big hands and feet too. Although he looked weird, he was very loyal for the friendship with Harry and Hermione. Ron was the most mediocre of his siblings. He was not an excellent Quidditch player, a noteworthy student, or the son whom his mother always wanted. All these factors have combined to cause Ron serious insecurities; this inferiority complex, and his need to prove himself a notable person in his own right is the main thrust of his character growth. Ron also had a pet. A mouse which named Scrabbers, but he lost in Ron’s third grade. His family replaced it with an owl, Pigwidgeon.
Right now, I have read many novels that have many characters too, but I have never found the characters like my favorite characters in Harry Potter novels. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley are the characters which I like most. They have good personalities and unexpected strength. Their friendship is the greatest in the world and I love them very much.
that's my essay assignment(and I got A for that... hehe..) I hope there will be another fiction novels that can made me totally caught up like this novel....
